A supportive, careful and mindful design approach is my ethos for working. I am people focused and I take on any scale or type of architectural, design or education project where the client is looking for assistance and guidance that require expert knowledge.
My wide ranging experience and knowledge operating within the fields of architecture and design, the built environment, BIM (Building Information Modelling), planning consultation, marketing and digital design as well as architectural education, provide me with an excellent set of skills and a broad range of industry connections. I use this toolset to help me tailor my approach and input to each project I take on.
I am passionate about “good” design and provide a supportive and carefully managed design process from inception to completion.
I believe in caring for my clients and committing to any project as if it were my own. I strive for a helpful, thorough and professional delivery to make sure clients feel taken care of and protected within the built environment industry.
I consult on projects at any stage of the design process, from the feasibility of a site development; input and guidance during the planning application process; guidance on building regulations or for the design of a completed building. I also work to design short courses, manage and organise events and consult on the marketing of businesses.
I work with major software companies and have a background in architecture as a practising architect as well as marketing, organising and hosting global events and conferences and have 10 years of teaching experience at HE level. I utilise my broad range of knowledge to help me remain versatile and up to date with projects I consult on.
As an educator, architect, designer and researcher, my passion lies with supporting others to scope out, create and visualise their design ideas and help support them to make these a reality.
For developers and larger clients, this maybe in the form of giving assistance within the earlier stages of a possible design development to enable the understanding of whether or not a desired site is fit for construction or what developments may work best within the area.
For smaller clients who need one to one guidance through a feasibility study or the planning process, I will give my time to walk you through the steps and help you understand what you need to do when and help you to create your design project in accordance with legal requirements such as building regulations or for planning approvals.
I also provide support for busy architectural practices who may find it challenging to produce the necessary written documents such as design and access statements and who may wish to appoint me as a consultant to assist at peak times.
